Catskill Mountain Railroad or CMRR. This railroad is called a heritage railroad that began its operations in 1982. This year the Catskill Mountain Railroad is offering the following Special Events in Kingston: Day Out with Thomas, Peanuts Pumpkin Patch Express and The Polar Express.
The CMRR offers a 5 mile round trip between a wonderful 45-minute minute railroad excursion. This railroad leases the former New York Central Railroad Catskill Mountain branch from Kingston to Highmount, New York, where it connects with the Delaware & Ulster Railroad (D&U).
From May-Oct you can board the Esopus Scenic Train and step back in time when traveling was the only way to get to the Catskills.
