The USA has been waiting patiently for our very own Thomas Land Theme Park and we are getting one! The summer of 2015 will usher in Thomas Land in Carver Massachusetts. This location is no stranger to family fun and good times. Edaville historic amusement park resides here and has been host to the DOWT or
Day Out with Thomas event for the past decade. This site was named in honor of
Ellis D. Atwood with his initials (E.D.A) who started this railroad many years ago. The operation evolved from a once expansive network of railroads to a Family Fun Park known today as
Edaville USA.
In 2002 Edaville was purchased by
Jon Delli Priscoli including its 250 acres. And since his ownership there has been exciting changes which include the reconfiguration of the entire rail course and the incorporation of vintage amusement rides such as an antique carousel and an illuminated Ferris Wheel. In addition to the Day Out Thomas event which is held in June, August and September,
you can get ticket info here, there are other train rides. Through the fall season there is the Fall Cranberry Harvest, and the Christmas Festival of Lights offering rides through brilliantly lit displays in the winter.
