MARYLAND
B&O Railroad Museum
Baltimore, Maryland
Day Out with Thomas train ride event
The B&O Railroad Museum is located in Baltimore, Maryland and is museum exhibiting historic railroad equipment. The B&O was originally called the Baltimore & Ohio Transpiration Museum when it opened its doors in 1953. The museum boosts one of the largest collections of 19th century locomotives in the United States and is considered one of the most significant collections in terms of railroad treasures in the world today.
Excursion rides are offered from Sunday from April through December including weekends in January. Popular train rides include a Day Out with Thomas and more. Another great feature of the museum is all of the activities for children and families. The museum and station is designated as a United States National Historic Landmark and they have won several awards in Nickelodeons Parents Picks Awards for the Best Museum for Little Kids and the Best Indoor Play space for Big Kids.
Be sure to order your Train Engineers Hat in advance and have your child wear it at the event. While many people can purchase these at the venue it will be at an inflated price. Most parents break down and spend the money but if you enjoy saving money consider these great Train Engineer Hats in Blue or Pink, you can’t beat the price.
