Day Out with Thomas train ride event
Day Out with Thomas in Oklahoma City is an event for families to bring their children to see and ride on Thomas the Tank Engine. They also get to meet the Fat Controller, Sir Topham Hatt who is the Controller of the Railway. While this is primarily a train ride there are multiple family activities during this experience.
The schedule of activites varies from venue but typically the train ride is offered first and this is about 25 minutes long. After the train ride kids receive their Junior Engineer Certificate marking the event. Don’t forget to bring your conductors cap for the children to capture those special memories which last a life time.
Day Out with Thomas is structured with Thomas the train themed activities that include a map of event and with things to complete at each stop. For example there are temporary Thomas tattoos, Thomas storytelling and video viewing which is nice because you can sit down and take a break. There is an art and crafts table where children can finger paint, create a picture, there is stamping with colors and other crafts to complete.
Kids get to meet Sir Topham Hatt and take a picture with the Fat Controller from the Island of Sodor. There is an area with climbing and slide playground with live music for entertainment. The children can also enjoy a model train layout or play miniature golf and two moon walks. In the past there has been a magic show with a magician, a ventriloquist and Mom-O the Clown. This event is more than just a day out; it is a time families enjoy together and one that builds lasting memories.
