Welcome to
Mike Thomas the Train, a page dedicated to our friend Michael who is a fan of Thomas and Friends and a good friend to
Charles and Adam. Michael was very gracious in giving the boys his Thomas trains, tracks and miscellaneous buildings. Michael has moved on to Lionel trains now and Charles and Adam hope to visit him to see the railway he built with his dad. We plan to take lots of pictures of his Lionel train set and add them to this page in the future.
This page is about friendship and about a train actually called Mike! Mike the Thomas train is modeled after the Ravenglass and
Eskdale Railway’s River Mite. He is painted bright red also called NWR crimson livery with blue and yellow lining. His dome is brass with red nameplates in yellow with writing on each side of his smokebox titled Arlesdale.
Mike is known as a very strong red engine who fancies good trains over passengers. He can be very hot headed at times but is very proud of his whistle. Mike the train was made by
Learning Curve for the wooden railway series and he was also made for
Take Along in diecast metal. Sadly both engines have been discontinued but if you’re lucky you can still find him to add to your collection.
