Located in Newport Rhode Island, the Newport Dinner train known as the Train with the Million Dollar View operates proudly as a heritage railroad in combination with the Old Colony and Newport Scenic Railway. Ride on elegant dining cars for some 22 miles of beautiful scenery, a journey that lasts some 2.5 hours along the Narragansett Bay. The Newport Dinner train has both dining cars and a parlor lounge car that operates as a cabaret. There are two dining cars that seat 72 and the parlor lounge car seats 48.
There are multiple events to please everyone but the most popular and a favorite among the children is of course the infamous Day Out with Thomas event. For romance there is romancing the Rails, enjoy fine food with candlelight and music. For fans of Broadway there is the Whistlestop on Broadway event which features all of your classic and favorite show tunes ranging from Cats, My Fair Lady, Mamma Mia, Oklahoma and South Pacific. During the winter there is the long awaited Polar Express where the children can meet Santa aboard the trip.
