Each year North Shore Scenic Railroad makes history by rolling stock from the museum display is put to work on their working railroad. During peak season some several trains depart from the historical Union Depot for a great journey beginning in downtown Duluth, Canal Park while running alongside beautiful shore of Lake Superior traveling far into the grand North woods. The best part of the journey is the historical narration during the tour with compliments the scenic tour. If you love railroads than you're sure to enjoy the stories about the local people who built the region.
There are daily round trip excursions that leave Duluth for Two Harbors but some trips are shorter, like the ride to Lester River.
